Repatriation and crediting of foreign accounts
Sets which foreign-currency receipts residents may keep abroad — and bars dividends from Russian companies from being credited in foreign currency to residents' foreign accounts.
What it does
Decree No. 430 governs the repatriation of foreign currency and roubles by residents engaged in foreign trade and the crediting of residents' foreign accounts. It permits residents, with the exceptions it lists, to credit foreign currency to their own foreign accounts, and prohibits crediting to those accounts foreign currency received as dividends on shares of Russian joint-stock companies or as distributed profit of Russian companies; the same amounts may be received in roubles. Depositing cash into an account with a foreign bank is not restricted by it.
